Bible Discovery Questions

What do we learn from the story about God?

God is like the father who eagerly waits for us to return to Him. He shows us that true repentance is met with forgiveness and restoration. His love and grace are available to all who believe.

What do we learn from the people in the story?

The younger son shows us the process of repentance and belief: recognizing our sin, turning away from it, and returning to God in faith. The older son shows us how pride can prevent us from celebrating others' repentance and belief.

Is there anything from the story Jesus wants us to obey?

Yes, Jesus wants us to repent of our sins, believe in His forgiveness, and turn back to God. He also wants us to celebrate when others repent and believe in Him.
